    About the Presenter

    Emily Jacobs is a registered dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and started her career in outpatient nutrition counseling for diabetes and weight management. As a Nutrition Educator with Virginia Cooperative Extension, Emily hopes to shift her focus from disease treatment to prevention. She firmly believes that nutrition literacy plays a large role in chronic disease prevention and seeks to provide accessible nutrition education to the community. As a Virginia Tech alumna, Emily hopes to embody the spirit of β€œut proism” in her work with the community.
